Lalitagauri Agashe

Mrs. Lalitagauri M Agashe has received advanced training in Tanjavur style of Bharat Natyam under Guru Tejaswini. She also had a privilege of learning from the respected guru Acharya Parvatikumar. Ranking first and graduating with distinction from Vallabh Sangeetalaya in Mumbai, she has devoted herself to this art despite being a Masters Degree holder in accountancy with First class.

Her past performances in the USA include the launch of Seattle chapter of Nargis Datt Cancer Foundation, representing in BMM convention in California and various lecture demonstrations including the one at UW, University of Puget Sound etc.

She is a passionate teacher of authentic Bharat Natyam dance. As an instructor of Tanjavur Dance School she is dedicated to teaching her students and helping them attain technical skills, theory aspects as well as excellence in expressions.

Three of her students successfully completed their Arangetram i.e. their first solo one-and-a-half-hour performance of BharatNatyam dance in Aug 2002 and April 2003 under the guidance of their Guru.
