This is what the descent looks from down below, looking up. The part with the ladder is the easiest part. Most of the rest is dangling down with the help of iron chains and hooks hammered into the rock. If it rains when you are down below, it may become hard to climb back up!

If you like, you can distract yourself from the scary descent by looking up at the fall.

The creek and the canyon go on downstream to meet the Colorado river several miles from Mooney Falls.
